vitamin B17 - Cancer Cure or Not?
Vitamins B17, C and E have all been linked to recent controversies in the scientific and medical communities. But the vitamin to draw the most furor and controversy, by far is vitamin B17. B17, also known as laetrile, is touted by many as a miracle cure all for cancer. B17 is also said to prevent cancer and keep people in remission once cancer is cured. Though some preliminary vitamin studies and voluminous anecdotal evidence seems to bear out the vitamin's effects in cancer treatment, it is important to note that B17-vitamin supplements are banned or strictly regulated across the United States and some other countries. Much of the concern over the use of a B17-vitamin supplement seems to be linked to the fact that the vitamin contains trace amounts of cyanide.
